About Julia

A California native, Julia Frodahl is known for her peaceful, organic design style. She draws inspiration from many creative corners, from Vincent Van Duysen to Patti Smith, as well as the shapes and textures of nature.

Julia’s creative career began in music, where she collaborated with artists including Mark Van Hoen, Simon Raymonde (Cocteau Twins), members of Antony & The Johnsons, and Mimmo Paladino. Following that creative thread, she moved into set design for photoshoots and music videos before eventually designing homes for a handful of discreet celebrity clients. Through word of mouth, Julia soon found herself creating interiors for homes across New York, Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, and Sonoma County.

Nature remains at the center of her work, whether through layered natural textures or the subtle hues of natural light. Julia brings both creative vision and technical expertise to every project, from single rooms to full renovations and flips. She also offers hourly design consultations via video chat worldwide.
